India’s First Lunar Probe Lands on Moon

The first lunar probe from India landed on the moon Friday, November 14th. Moon Impact Probe (MIP) were carrying Indian tricolor. Terrain Mapping Camera (TMC) mounted on Chandrayaan-1 has been taking breathtaking pictures. Click here to view the latest images of moon sent by Chandrayaan-1. The mission’s chief goals are mapping the surface of the moon, as well as understand internal structure of the moon and how moon is evolved.
